Philosophy: HIGIS WORLD is engineered around minimal runtime footprints, offline resilience, and global edge persistence powered by Cloudflare Pages and Cloudflare D1.

The HIGI Engineering Method

Every innovation inside HIGIS WORLD follows a disciplined 4-stage lifecycle:

1. Hypothesize: Formulate questions that challenge standard web and application paradigms. Question baseline assumptions about how tools ought to behave.

2. Investigate: Deconstruct architectural constraints, user friction points, and performance bottlenecks before committing code.

3. Generate: Ship tangible, lightweight prototypes with clean typography and zero unnecessary dependencies.

4. Iterate: Deploy to production, capture community signals, and refine with continuous deployment.

System Architecture

HIGIS WORLD pairs modern edge-computing with high-performance clientside rendering:

  • Edge Gateway: _worker.js captures API routing across all edge locations worldwide with sub-15ms execution latency.
  • Database Engine: Cloudflare D1 SQLite database stores all dynamic site settings, product listings, community threads, and comments.
  • Asset Delivery: Static assets, compressed WebP artwork, and SVG paths served with global immutable caching headers.

Edge endpoints containing mutation permissions require admin verification.

  • GET /api/site-data — Public endpoint returning cached global site settings, products, and articles.
  • POST /api/site-data — Admin mutation endpoint persisting site state to D1. Requires X-Admin-Key.
  • GET /api/posts — Fetches public community discussions and discussion comments.
  • POST /api/posts — Publishes new discussions or edits author discussions.
  • DELETE /api/posts — Soft-deletes a discussion thread. Restricted to post author or admin.
  • POST /api/send-otp — Serverless Resend email dispatcher delivering 6-digit verification codes.

Real-Time Synchronization

HIGIS WORLD incorporates a two-layer synchronization architecture designed for instantaneous updates across client sessions:

  • Local Multi-Tab Reactive Broadcast: Whenever a change is authored in Admin Studio, a window.addEventListener("storage") broadcast immediately invalidates cache across all active browser windows on the author's machine.
  • Cloudflare Edge Invalidation: Global state changes are committed directly into D1 with a unique timestamp parameter (?_t=${Date.now()}) preventing stale intermediate CDN caching across external visitors.

Open Source Guidelines

HIGIS WORLD builds utilities with public accountability and open-source integrity:

  • Minimalism & Restraint: Do not introduce bloated frameworks where standard browser APIs suffice.
  • No Hardcoded Personal Identifiers: Code repositories, issue trackers, and pull requests must preserve clean contributor privacy.
  • Licensing: Foundational tools are published under permissive open licenses (MIT or Apache 2.0).

Community & Moderation

The HIGIS WORLD community is designed for respectful technical inquiry, collaborative development, and constructive critique:

  • Privacy Protection: Contributor email addresses are never disclosed publicly in API payloads.
  • Moderation: Administrators can permanently remove abusive discussions or comments using the global admin moderation key.
  • Edit Horizon: Authors retain a 24-hour window to edit and refine their discussions.
